STEP 1 - GET IN TOUCH
When you reach out via email or phone we will discuss your jewellery ideas with you, gathering the basics of your project to see if we are a good fit for each other.
From here we may arrange a longer consultation in person or over the phone/video call.
It is helpful if you have a budget in mind at this stage as it helps us to advise within your requirements and recommend designs and gemstones accordingly.
STEP 2 - OBLIGATION FREE DESIGN & QUOTE
Once we have your parameters in focus we will get back to you with some preliminary ideas. This may be in the form of photos, wax carvings, silver prototypes or, most commonly, scaled images of your design concepts with accompanying quotes.
From here the designs may evolve through several iterations before the final design is reached.
At this point, we may have sourced specific stones for you and you may opt for an in person or video link with us to see these stones or simply to discuss your ideas in further detail.
STEP 3 - LOCKING IN DESIGN & MATERIALS
With your design selected we ask for a 50% deposit to custom make your piece.
With the deposit we will secure your selected stone/s and draw your design with the use of CAD (computer aided design) so you can see precise, colour images of your piece to scale. We even make a video of your jewellery so you can see it from all angles.
If required we can make any final tweaks to the design at this stage too.
STEP 4 - MANUFACTURE
It's time for you to relax as we now begin to work our magic.
All of our jewellery is made to order, by us, in our Melbourne studio. This process varies from job to job but, on average, takes 6-10 weeks to complete.
STEP 5 - THE REVEAL
When your custom-made piece of jewellery is finished we will reach out to arrange a collection time and for the balance to be paid.
We encourage, where possible, you to come into the studio for the big reveal, this way we get to see the big smiles! When that isn’t possible we can arrange for a fully insured, express delivery to you anywhere in Australia.
AFTERCARE
MEGAN & JENNA
When working with Megan Webb Jeweller, you will work directly with Megan & Jenna. Both of us are qualified jewellers, each with over 20 years experience. We will take you from design conception to completion (and the ongoing care of your piece). As a small business we handle as much as we can in-house and you will have a direct relationship with us throughout the process.
OUR DESIGN ETHOS
There is the age-old argument of ‘form over function’ or ‘function over form’. We believe that form follows function, that one should not exist without consideration for the other. This is paramount to us when we design jewellery. Beauty happens when they are in harmony with each other.
Jewellery must be comfortable, easy to wear and able to stand the test of time. We design for a lifetime of wear and beyond because we wholeheartedly believe that jewellery should be designed and made to be beautiful, but also functional.
SUSTAINABILITY
Our passion is creating beautiful jewellery with as little impact on our planet and its people as possible.
We use only recycled gold, platinum and silver. We source recycled diamonds, antique diamonds, lab grown diamonds and ethical precious gems. We have a small selection of loose diamonds and gems available on-line or we can source something just for you.
The most sustainable way to create new jewellery is to repurpose old. We specialise in jewellery remodelling of all types.
